Terms of Service

1. The agreement

By creating an account you agree to these terms. CommissionBoard is operated by Perk Panther (“we”). If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you are allowed to do that.

2. What the service does

CommissionBoard takes sales data you import and calculates commission based on the rules you configure. It displays results on a dashboard and can generate reports and exports.

3. Billing

• $19 per month per location, billed in advance through Stripe.
• Adding a location adds $19/month, prorated from the day you add it.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
• Prices can change with 30 days' notice to the email on your account.
• Fees are exclusive of any tax you may owe.

4. Cancelling and refunds

Cancel any time from your account or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then. We do not automatically refund partial months. If something went genuinely wrong, email us — we would rather sort it out than argue.

5. Your data and your account

Your data stays yours. We only use it to run the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export it at any time.

You are responsible for keeping your password and dashboard PIN secure, for everything done under your account, and for having the right to upload the employee data you import.

6. Acceptable use

Don't:

• break the law with it, or use it to harass or discriminate against your staff
• upload data you have no right to upload
• resell, sublicense or white-label the service without our written agreement
• attempt to breach, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the platform
• share one subscription across businesses that should each be paying

We can suspend accounts that do these things.

7. Check the numbers before you pay anyone

This matters, so it is in plain language: CommissionBoard is a calculator, not a payroll provider or an accountant. The figures it produces depend entirely on the data you import and the rules you configure. Verify them before paying wages, and keep your own records. We are not responsible for underpayment, overpayment, tax errors, or employment disputes arising from figures you did not check.

8. Availability

We work to keep the service up but do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may need downtime for maintenance, and we depend on providers such as Supabase, Stripe and Vercel.

9. Warranties

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent the law allows.

10. Limit of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply as far as the law permits.

11. Indemnity

You agree to cover us against claims arising from your use of the service, the data you upload, or your breach of these terms.

12. Ending the agreement

You can close your account whenever you like. We can suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, or with 30 days' notice for any reason, refunding any unused prepaid time.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to account owners at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, and disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located there.
